Mother’s Day is fast approaching.
But this year, you don’t have to launch head-first into a battle with your siblings over whose turn it is to cook the Sunday roast (it’s typically the one day our mums aren’t forced to cook after all…)
But you also don’t have to battle the masses trying to get a booking at a restaurant – or end up with an extortionate drinks bill (who knew our families could drink so much?!)…
That’s because this year – some of our favourite Belfast restaurants have signed up to Deliveroo. The end-to-end food delivery service brings high-quality local restaurant food to our doorstep using the online site and iOS app.
That means you can all enjoy a delicious meal together all the while cutting down the cost and hassle of going out. Well, between the comfort of a carry-out, Netflix and a cosy sofa – who wants to go out?

We can’t emphasise how delicious the food is at Buskers enough. All we can say is, well, you have to try it for yourself.
But we highly recommend the Seafood Chowder with Handmade Bread to start with, followed by the (literally) melt-in-the-mouth Beef Brisket with Parsnips and Mash.
With starters all in and around the four quid mark, and mains ranging from £7 – £9 (with the exception of the Sirloin Steak with Potato Rosti & Roast Mushrooms at £18 – which looks worth every penny); Buskers is reasonably priced too. We’d say your mum would love the various options here – and the desserts are to-die-for.

The delicious European food on offer promises to be a crowd-pleaser.
The famous Starters, which range from Veg Tempura; Chicken Satay Skewers; and Salt & Chilli Squid, are great for sharing (all £6). Whilst the Sliders allow you to pick any three mini burgers in wee buns served with chips and dips (pictured above).
Alternatively, you can opt for one of the incredible Flatbreads. ‘Home Made & Rustic: Not Quite A Pizza, Served With Dips’ these include a wide selection of choices; ranging from Spiced Harissa Lamb Flat Bread on a bed of slaw, roast peppers, rocket & riata (£11). To the delicious Chorizo & prawns with roast corn tomato base and Buffalo Mozzarella (£11) and loads more as well as a fantastic selection of sides.

One of favourite restaurants in Belfast, we were particularly delighted that this hidden gem has signed up for Deliveroo.
This Italian restaurant is always buzzing – and now you can get it straight to your door.
Your mum is sure to love the Starter Menu – which includes our stand-out favourite, the Calamari Fritti. The Crisp fried squid, paprika and lemon dip is even gluten free.
It also boasts such an amazing range of pizzas; pastas; & Portata Principale that the only problem you’ll have is what to choose. Oh, and it does predictably outstanding Italian desserts.
153 Stranmillis Rd
Not just because anywhere that sells a pizza called the Piggylicious is always going to get our vote of confidence, but Honest is THE place to order from if your mum is a devoted pizza fan (or you know, whoever is ordering the food is)…
This is exceptional pizza because you can really tell that fresh ingredients have been used. The sourdough base and house made tomato sauce are to-die-for.

If it’s good enough for Obama, hopefully your mum will approve too.
And why wouldn’t she? Between the gorgeous fish burgers and sandwiches, veggie burgers, salads and sides you’ll be spoilt for choice!
For something truly special we recommend the delicious Pan Asian cuisine at (aptly named) Wagamama.
You’ll love sharing and tasting so many options on this menu; from the Ebi GyozaFive deep-fried prawn and vegetable dumplings served with a chilli, garlic, sesame and soy sauce to the incredible curry and chilli dishes to name a few!
