Northern Ireland fans PETE GERARD and GRAEME COUSINS have formed a Lennon & McCartney-esque partnership to come up with a few new anthems for Northern Ireland this summer at Euro 2016.

Some would say it’s more like Neil & George than John & Paul.

Those Northern Ireland fans going to France this summer better start rehearsing.

We already have our classic chants about Steve Davis, Green And White Army and Not Being Brazil, but it’s time for some new ones.

Here are a few ideas we’ve created and some we’ve borrowed and built upon….

Will Grigg’s On Fire

This chant was created by fans of Wigan Athletic after Will Grigg’s goalscoring exploits saw them achieve promotion back into the Championship. Here’s their version…

And here’s our Northern Ireland edition of the song…

Verse (x2)

He’s gonna score in Paris

He’s gonna score in Nice

He’ll score past all the Germans

And past Hugo Lloris

Will Grigg’s on fire

Your defence is terrified

Will Grigg’s on fire

Niall McGinn is by his side

Na na na na na na na na na na na nah

(Repeat over and over again until Will Grigg scores)

Arguably Oasis’ biggest ever anthem could be adapted for our famous custodian should he make what is sure to be his final bow for the Green And White Army in France…

And all the roads that took us here were winding

And all the saves you made in Greece were blinding

There are many things that I would like to say to you but I don’t know how

Because maybe… you’re gonna be the one that saves three

And after all you’re my Roy Carroooollllllll

Big Gareth McAuley

Gareth McAuley could well be pulling on a Northern Ireland shirt for the final time at Euro 2016 as the 36-year-old contemplates retirement from international football. What better send off than this terrace anthem, to the tune of Losing My Religion by REM…

Who’s up for the corner?

Who’s that in the flood lights?

Big Gareth McAuley

Going to score a goal past you

And your keeper cannot save it

Oh no, I’ve said too much

You’re just not good enough

I think you can hear us laughing

I think you can hear us sing

I think I thought I saw him fly

When Stuart Dallas gets the ball everyone should harmonise the Dallas theme tune. It could be messy if everyone doesn’t come in at the same time, but we do a pretty good version of the Dambusters so we’re confident this can work!

Mr Brightside

We’re a few decades too late with this one, but considering we still sing songs about David Healy there’s no harm in a nostalgic tribute to another Norn Iron legend.

Jealousy, you’ll never be as good as me

World Cup at just seventeen

Wee bit prone to injury

But it’s just the price I pay

Billy B is calling me

Open up my eager eyes

Cause I’m Norman Whiteside
