Following the recent revelation that our favourite FroYo shop is opening up in a second location on the Andersonstown Road in March, we got to thinking about what makes us love the YoggieBerrie experience so much.
Renowned for its outstanding customer service and impressive five-star rating (out of hundreds of reviews), it’s no wonder so many #YBfanatics adore the one-stop-shop experience for all your decadent needs.
12 Reasons Why We Fell In Love With YoggieBerrie...
1. The FroYo (Obvs)
Rotating from the likes of Pink Bubblegum, Pistachio, Chocolate, Orange, Vanilla, Blue Bubblegum, Lemon Sorbet, Mango, Natural, Chocolate and Green-mint – we’ve truly never had a FroYo experience like this one before.
With eight incredible flavours on offer at one time, the four innovative ‘Mixing Taps’ are designed to combine two flavours which #PapaBear believes will go truly amazingly together. From the likes of Toffee and Banana – creating Banoffee, Mint & Chocolate, Chocolate & Hazelnut and Vanilla & Salty Caramel (to name a few!)
2. The Spectacular Toppings
The oh-so-tantalizing ‘Pobbles’ you can see here are one of YoggieBerrie’s most popular toppings.
Richard, Store Manager explains: “They’re almost like little juice balls – which in America, are absolutely synonymous with Frozen Yoghurt!”
“They’re like little water balloons that burst in your mouth full of flavour! We have Strawberry, Mango, Lemon & Lime and Lychee flavours.”
YoggieBerrie boasts a staggering 36 toppings in total – with options including Marshmallow, Maltesers, Ferrero Rocher and the oh-so-popular Raspberry Ruffle!
3. They Can Be As Guilt Free – As You’re Able To Make Them!
Okay, so this one takes a little willpower.
But the 99% fat free FroYo equates to just 90 calories per 100g.
Most importantly of all, 100g has been estimated as only one ‘Syn’ in Slimming World.
Of course, as tempting as it is, you must exercise constraint around the Oreo counter. Instead, stick to the healthier options – including Natural Yoghurt, Fresh Fruit, Nuts and gorgeous Granola.
4.Morelli’s Ice-Cream – 24 Flavours!
In a further successful bid to ensure the ultimate decadent experience, Richard explains that sometimes kids prefer ice-cream:
“By offering Morelli’s delicious ice-cream, we cater for all of our customers, and ensure that we will be around for many years to come by creating the ultimate experience.”
“YoggieBerrie is a one-stop-shop for all of your decadent treats!”
5. The Cold Drinks
The famous Bubble Tea is a #YoggieBerrie Speciality. More like a yummy milkshake, choose from flavours such as Chocolate, Strawberry, Bananna & Coconut. You can customise your flavours with your favourite Pobbles, which you suck through a thick straw.
This one is most popular at summer, but Richard says it is a firm favourite amongst teens – and up to 25-year-olds.
YoggieBerrie also offers melt-in-your-mouth healthy smoothies and tasty milkshakes. Made with two scoops of ice-cream, milk, topped with whipped cream – and ready for your customisation. You can add your toppings, and even blend your favourite flavours. Thus completing all of our childhood dreams in one sip.
6. The Coffee House
The Latte Art is a much-loved novelty, but YoggieBerrie’s extensive range of coffee is particularly impressive.
With the full range of coffee supplied by Baileys, the Coffee House element of YoggieBerrie offers something different from any other FroYo or ice-cream parlour we’ve frequented before.
Offering Caffè Americanos, Flat Whites, Lattes, Cappucinos or Mochas, customise your coffee with Whole, Skimmed or Soya Milk. As well as the eight flavoured syrup options, including; Salted Caramel; Vanilla; Gingerbread; Amaretto; Hazelnut; Peppermint; and Chocolate.
7. They Have EVEN MORE Hot Drinks
We were already impressed with this FoYo cafe’s amazing Coffee House. But it also offers an extensive array of hot drinks, including local Suki Tea – and hot chocolates.
We strongly recommend the White Hot Chocolate Steamers.
8. #TheBearCave Supports Local
Passionate in the ethos of ‘local supporting local’ #PapaBear Gavan believes strongly in sustaining local businesses.
Whilst the coffee is supplied by Baileys, they also promote and offer the extensive range of Belfast’s famous Suki Tea, as well as ordering their entire cake range from the Yellow Door bakery and award winning Anna Taggart’s Yummy Cakes NI for Afternoon Teas.
Ranging from popular staples such as the Carrot Cake, Lemon Drizzle Cakes, and a vast range of traybakes from Caramel Shortcake to Rice Crispie Bakes and the (understandably) firm favourite: Ferrero Rocher Cheesecake.
9. Amazing Afternoon Tea
Afternoon Tea with a difference. £14 for two people or £28 for four, incredible value and options including Anna Taggart’s Great Taste Award 2013 Yummy Bakes. Which are baked fresh instore. So fresh in fact, that you have to give at least an hour’s notice to allow baking time!
Includes two posh scones, two biscuits (also baked fresh instore!), and two traybakes alongside your chosen drink and your own personal booth reserved for Afternoon Tea.
10. Kids Parties
YoggieBerrie have designed their own mascot, who makes a special appearance.
From £7.50 per child, each child can get a tub of FroYo or ice-cream, delicious drink and party-bag. You can also book a booth, get a visit from the bear, a birthday cake and your very own t-shirt for the party.
11. Special Booths Guarantee Privacy
We’re strongly opposed to having fellow FroYo diners watch us shovel pieces of Reese’s Pieces and Oreo into our mouths. That’s why we seriously love the booths at YoggieBerrie. Meaning complete FroYo gorging privacy.
Richard adds: “We love that we can have an intimate date in one booth, an older couple in another, and a kids party on the other side!”
12. Crepes, Waffles & Sundaes
From Malteser to Oreo Sundaes, Build-Your-Own Waffles (with two scoops of ice-cream, two toppings and sauce of your choice!), and mouth-watering Crepes, this is the place decadent desserts were made of.
